Awesome name - even better product

I've never heard of Amuse Bouche lipsticks but the name was unique.  But the product was even better than the name.  How have I never heard of this before?!

First of all - the lipsticks were buttery smooth to put on.  And they were long lasting!  I ate frozen yogurt and went to reapply and found I didn't need to! It was great.

These lipsticks are a must have. All three of them sit in my purse at the ready.  Where can you find your favorite shade? Sephora of course!!!

Kerastase Transformation Hair Care

I'll admit - I was skeptical.  I've bought all sorts of products claiming to help me with my dry processed hair.  I accepted it as part of the cost to be and look fashionable.  I didn't do anything extreme but who would have known that a little ombre or bayalage would sap all moisture from my roots?

So when Influenster chose me to try this product - I actually waited almost a week.  I just bought this other high end creme that came in great packaging, smelled great, and cost me a fortune...it wasn't doing much so what would this stuff do?

Well I happened to casually try it over the weekend.  And when I got out of the shower and dried my hair....there was a NOTICEABLE difference.  My hair felt soft and smooth.  It also looked really good and that was just after using the Reverse Care Conditioner and Shampoo.  I used my own conditioner ...so I can only imagine what it would look like if I used the whole system.

I love this stuff and it will soon be a staple in my shower.

Bridal Obession

What kind of bride are you? You never really know what you're going to like until you try on dresses and find "the one."  For a lot of women you end up in something completely different than what you "thought you wanted."

For me - I knew exactly  what sort of dress I wanted.  I knew what looked good on my body BUT I tried on other things (including the 20k ball gown) and stuck with my original plan...a fitted mermaid silhouette.

So once you find your dress the fun part is ACCESSORIZING. Will you wear a necklace - big and bold, delicate and simple...or will your hair style dictate no necklace (as mine did)?
Will you need some bling and sparkle or is your dress heavily ornate so that your jewelry should be toned down?  So many question, so many options!

The best part of my wedding planning was finding the accessories. There are so many great options, so what kind of bride will you be?

Let me help you find your style from simple pieces, to statements, mix and match, hair pins, bracelets, chandelier earrings, studs, and maybe even a little something blue.

New year....new things

My latest entrepreneur endeavor.  chloe + Isabel has the cutest high fashion jewelry at some really great price points.  I once sold another fashion jewelry line for a bit but the jewelry was so expensive it didn't go far...I've also seen stuff like premiere who is cheap but their stuff is not very high end and doesn't hold up well.

I love my new c+i adventure and can't wait to see where this goes.

What I learned it 2014

It's been a crazy year that ran through a gamut of emotions.
I found that I could push my body beyond what I thought i was capable of athletically.  I ran 2 ragnars, 8 half marathons and a full.  I got a stress fracture, took a break for 6 weeks and was back up and running before I should have been.  What do doctors know anyway?!  But this year became about more than just my crazy running goals...a lot happened.

People will show you time and again who they are, believe them the first time around.
Change takes real work and most people aren't up for it, including myself ;)

You often get what you ask for but it may not be at the most opportune time or in the package that you expected. Get over it.

The pain of loss is "temporary" but the grief ebbs and flows.  Learn to move with it or it can consume you.

Sorry is powerful if sincere.

Give and give again because it feels good.

Shit really does happen faster in your 30's, hang on tight!

Old is a "relative" term sometime after 30-ish.

You will become some form of your mother - it is inevitable.

Read more -  there are a lot of idiots out there today...get your face in a book!

You will have to give up on some people, it's not worth the time or effort.

Eat the damn donut or whatever your vice is, the calories are worth it every now and again.

People will sometimes live vicariously through you, make it worth the ride.

I'm sure there was more but I thought of this on a run as my mind wandered to keep me going through the pain.  Somethings I thought of "may have been left on the pavement." Looking back on this year, I lost my best friend who was there for me graduating FSU, suffered my long nights in grad school, watched me silently through all my shit, laid next to me on cold nights and almost always ate half of my French fries.  Her last few months were scary, painful, and heartbreaking.  I hope to have given her as much as she did me for those 12 short years.

My family dealt with one of the largest natural disasters.  For a moment we weren't sure if they had survived, but we were lucky.
I will never be able to payback the generosity of those friends who gave to my family directly....they are my heroes.

I found great love unexpectedly, he is my heart.  I became an aunt and come to terms with my parents divorce.

So 2014 was a big year, I don't know what comes next but I am hopeful and optimistic.  I'd say you should try and be the same...no matter what.

Influenster Spring VoxBox

It's that time again, to use up some free samples and provide my feedback!

Say yes to Nivea's Body Firming lotion....
Say yes to Rimmel's mega lash mascara...
Soft lips cube? Yes...
Playtex Sport...Yes
and Kiss french manicure?  Well that depends.  Do you want to glue on top of your natural nail? They're short enough that they'll last you for a nice event but I'm always weary of putting glue on top of my nails. If you're willing to do the long acetone soak to get them off, then these are a must for an event.  You'll be manicure ready in minutes!

KISS nails...how will they hold up?

A lot of women have posted pics of their everlasting KISS french manicures.  I have a set of these sitting at home...will they work, how long will they last? I'm active...I type a lot....I have two dogs....I'm a skeptic that these will last more than an hour.  Maybe the key is you just wear these on the night you need them, and for a few hours you'll have nails to die for?
